Doesn’t seem like “Janna & Liv” would romanticise the pleasures of pregnancy. Quite the opposite, it gives the hard facts. Director Therese Ahlbeck answered our questionnaire.
What tagline or catch phrase describes your film best?
Sometimes life can be a real bitch. Come on and join the joyride!
Do you remember the first movie you ever saw?
I think it was “Watership Down”, directed by Martin Rosen. An animated feature based on the novel by Richard Adams about a group of rabbits who flee for their lifes and face horrible dangers. I was six years old and it scared the hell out of me, but it also gave a strong impression on the power of cinema.
What was the worst movie you ever saw?
I have to get back to you on that one…
Who do you consider the best director of all time?
Sydney Pollack
Why do you make films? What motivates you?
The multi-art-making of it. Working with words, visuals and sound in a symbiotic way to make it sing like music and communicate directly with your heart.
What do you immediately associate with Munich?
Football. Art. History. Grande.
What’s the most important thing you’ll bring with you to Munich?
My producer.
How long will it take you to get to Munich?
A couple of hours.
“Janna & Liv” will be shown on Thursday, November 19th at 14:30 pm and on Friday, November 20th at 17:00 pm.
